Pakistan Takes 20 Tech Companies to TechCrunch Disrupt 2026

Pakistan had a visible presence at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, held October 13 to 15 at Moscone West in San Francisco. According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, about 20 Pakistani technology companies exhibited at a Pakistan Pavilion, covering a range of tech sectors. Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, visited the pavilion on October 15 and was briefed on each company's products and plans to enter the US market.
The ambassador's message, as reported by APP and 24NewsHD, was practical. He urged the companies to use their Silicon Valley exposure to build lasting commercial relationships and look for investment, and said Pakistan should position itself as a competitive and reliable technology partner in the global digital economy. He also pledged full support from Pakistani missions in the US. APP notes that the United States is Pakistan's largest ICT export market, which explains why the focus was on American customers.
A separate event ran alongside it. Ejad Labs, an organizer of Pakistan-focused tech events, hosted the 15th Pakistan Tech Summit during San Francisco Tech Week, with more than 50 Pakistani entrepreneurs and tech leaders meeting Bay Area founders, investors and Pakistani-American professionals. The delegation is in the US from October 5 to 18. Discussions centered on AI, fintech and cloud services. Note that the report on this event, published by The Nation, is tagged as PR, and the figures in it (a digital economy above $36 billion and more than 30,000 new software engineers a year) are the organizers' own claims. The next summit is planned for October 21 in Oslo.
None of the sources report funding rounds, signed contracts or named deals from these events, so it is too early to say what they will produce. What they do show is a coordinated push by Pakistani firms, with diplomatic backing, to sell software and AI services directly to US buyers instead of only through outsourcing intermediaries.
For businesses, the takeaway is twofold. If you buy software or development services, Pakistani teams are increasingly pitching finished products and AI solutions, so ask for case studies and references, not just rates. If you sell tech services in Pakistan, expect more competition for US clients and more pressure to show clear products, security practices and proof of delivery.
